Gateway architecture - access to open cities

Keynote lectures and panel discussion with:
- Stéphanie Bru and Alexandre Theriot, Bruther, Paris, Zurich
- Kees Christiaanse, KCAP Architects, Rotterdam, Zurich
After two keynote lectures by internationally renowned architects representing different positions, practices, and perspectives, a discussion panel will follow.
The architects will share thoughts, plans, and attitudes toward Gateways. Bruther will focus on the won competition of Nauentor in Basel, and KCAP on the realized Masterplan of Europaallee in Zurich. What is the significance of arrival in a city? What roles do projects play in terms of space, access, and relation to the city? What impact does a mix of use, change, and future visions have?
